Last updated: September 20, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Ocula mobile application.
By downloading or using Ocula, you agree to these Terms.
Purpose of Ocula
Ocula is a contact lens organization and tracking application designed to help users track information such as lens replacement schedules, wear history, lens supply, prescription information, reminders, and related records.
Not Medical Advice
Ocula does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Information shown by Ocula, including replacement dates, reminders, supply estimates, prescription information, and other calculations, is provided for convenience only.
Always follow the guidance of your optometrist, ophthalmologist, healthcare professional, and contact lens manufacturer.
If information displayed by Ocula conflicts with professional medical guidance, you should follow the professional medical guidance.
User Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring that information entered into Ocula is accurate.
You are also responsible for following appropriate contact lens hygiene, replacement schedules, eye examinations, and other instructions provided by qualified professionals.
Ocula Pro
Ocula may offer optional premium features through Ocula Pro.
Ocula Pro may include features such as widgets, prescription document storage, low supply alerts, and prescription expiration reminders.
If Ocula Pro is offered as a lifetime purchase, payment is processed through Apple's App Store as a non-consumable in-app purchase.
Purchases are subject to Apple's App Store payment and refund policies.
Availability of Features
Features may be added, updated, changed, or removed as Ocula evolves.
We may modify the design, functionality, availability, or technical requirements of the app when reasonably necessary.
App Data
Ocula is primarily designed as a local-first application.
You are responsible for information stored on your device and for maintaining any external copies of documents that are important to you.
Ocula should not be treated as the sole permanent storage location for your medical or prescription documents.
Limitations
Ocula is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We cannot guarantee that the app will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or future operating-system version.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of Ocula is not responsible for losses resulting from inaccurate user-entered information, missed notifications, device failures, deleted local data, or reliance on Ocula instead of professional healthcare guidance.
Apple App Store
If you downloaded Ocula through Apple's App Store, your use of the app is also subject to applicable Apple Media Services Terms and Apple's standard end-user licensing terms unless another applicable license is provided.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated periodically. Any updated version will be posted on this page along with a revised "Last updated" date.
